a bold, flexible design identity for a multi-event auction series that draws eyes on screen and in print.
Brief
Develop the look + feel for Jays Care Foundation's auction series, including the Mid-Season Auction and televised Sportsnet Broadcast Auction. Along with a new logo for the events, the ask was for a bold, eye-catching design that would work well across a variety of formats (newspaper, TV, screen) and would have the flexibility to be adapted to the various auctions that the foundation holds throughout the year.
Solution
The goal with the design for these events was to create a look that reflected the playfulness of a youth organization, but with a sense of boldness and maturity that suited the target audience. The concept draws on the notion of childhood stickers, with each auction package represented by a unique illustrated sticker. The stickers not only tie to youth, but to the personalized, DIY nature of the auctions with bidders collecting the items they want and making the event their own. Flexibility in the logo text and stickers allow this design to be adapted to the organization's various actions throughout the year.
